With the availability of audiobooks, such as downloadables from Audible.com, and slim electronic pads of reading happiness like the Kindle, there are few places and activities that preclude reading/listening to a book. Whether commuting or driving, exercising or grocery shopping, waiting around for the bus or pretending to pay attention to that all-hands meeting, we can be thoroughly entertained nearly everywhere doing nearly anything.
But still, a few activities and locations may still preclude bookage.

unfortunately for me right now the answer is in the car. My cd player is on the fritz and I’m not savvy enough to figure out to listen to the ipod in the car.
You can pick up iPod speakers for like $20 or less. They are small and give pretty good sound.
