A train to a metro to a bus… Two hours of mangling my way through public transport gets me to ReaderCon.
Here’s the round up this far…
Books:
Crossed Genres Press Famous Peeps posed for a photo. They kicked ass on their kickstarter, which allows them to not only publish the two collections of stories they set out to do but to also go on publishing Crossed Genres Magazine, paying pro rates to writers. Huzzah!
Met Kate Sullivan of Candlemark and Gleam press, who put together my brand new copy of (re)Visions: Alice, which I’m sure she put together with me in mind, right? They are publishing a collection of short stories in 2013 in which the stories are about women who are heroes in whatever it is that they do.
I picked up a catalog from Lethe Press for my bro:
And Genevive Valentine was standing behind me (yes!) when I bought her book Mechanique, from editor Paula Guran at the Prime Press table. (Before Prime Books, Paula Guran bought and published a fantastic book by Dru Pagliasotti called Clockwork Heart, which has always been one of my faves.)
I’ll have a Friday chat for you later this evening, I promise.
As it’s ReaderCon, here’s my book list:
….never mind, I’ll do it later. The next panel is starting and it’s a doozy: “the books readers never see”, aka, books printed and published in other countries.

Thanks to the links to all these small presses. Yet another hill to the add to the TBR mountain.
