I opened yesterday a book that has been on my shelf for damn ever and found this beautiful treat waiting there patiently for me:
There was once, in the country of Alifbay, a sad city, the saddest of cities, a city so ruinously sad that it had forgotten its name. It stood by a sea full of glumfish, which were so miserable to eat that they made people belch with melancholy even though the skies were blue. -Salman Rushdie, Haroun and the Sea of Stories
Ah! What wonders! What delights await me here, certainly. And so I’m off to read.
What are you reading now?
