He thinks this is common, I sez we’re odd. How many people go for a dinner a books date?

  1. We don’t go out much anymore but when it’s just he and I eating at home, I’m usually reading and husband is playing chess on his phone. Does that count?

  2. Well, if anything, I prefer your version of a date to the one where you see a couple out together and both of them are so transfixed by their phones that they barely speak to each other anyway!

  3. my favorite comforting down-time in my household is hubby and I sitting in the same room (or snuggling in bed) reading our respective books.

    if you are bookish people, it’s not odd, it’s romantic!
