Reference David’s post from Monday, about his costume angst.
Which C.S. Friedman should I start?
The Madness Season; Feast of Souls; or In Conquest Born?
I really like her writing. Maybe I should space her books out rather than tearing through them. So: how about Which 800+ page tome should I start?
The Dragonbone Chair, Tad Williams; Eyes of God, John Marco
I dunno. That’s a lot of pages. I just finished a coupla honkers. Maybe a mere 500-600 pages?
World Without End, Sean Russell; Chung Kuo, David Wingrove; In Conquest Born, C.S. Friedman
Well, I can get aliens and airlocks for under 400 pp:
Heritage of Flight, Susan Shwartz; The Madness Season, CSFriedman
Oh, the dance of indecision. This one’s got maps, that one’s got aliens. This one been on my TBR since the eighth grade, that one’s part of my love affair with my new fav author.
Fuck I dunno.
Humm humm humm …
Does anyone else get the Between Book Blues?
I get between book blues – strangely enough usually when I’m making good progress on my wbr – it’s as though I start going into a trauma because the pile is being reduced. I actually thinking I’m suffering from ‘during’ book blues at the moment – haven’t picked up my current book for two days! Maybe I should move on.

I get the BB blues every other book! I was almost there, since I’m close to finishing Dragon Scroll. Do I get the next in the series? Do I venture into something else? There’s a big TBR pile in there. Plus it’s October which is time for scary books. Then Dark Cargo sent me a Tudor family historical foction so I’m totally going to England when I finished with this mystery in Japan!
Earlier today hubby asked me to recommend something to him, said he was in the mood for satisfying fiction. Thanks to DarkCargo, I was able to put Iain Banks Look to Windward in his hands.
I get BBBlues too, usually when I’m looking at my TBR pile and start to feel guilty about everything there that I haven’t read yet.
